Activities

I am a member of the "Storage Systems Research Group" in the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC-CNS). My current research is focused on parallel file systems for large scale installations and grid environments, and I am also interested in the use of autonomic computing techniques and virtualization mechanisms to make storage more efficient for heterogeneous application workloads.

Part of my research is done in collaboration with people from the "High Performance Computing group" in the Department of Computer Architecture at UPC.

I was formerly involved in the development and management of the Performance Monitoring Systems and the Batch Scheduler architecture for the MareNostrum supercomputer. Previously, I worked in the IT Division of the European Center for Nuclear Research (CERN) and as a lecturer at the Facultat d'Informatica de Barcelona (UPC).
